A Primer for Somatic Body Work: Part Two; Techniques, Interventions and Strategies (2 CEs)

This event offers 2 CEs for PA professionals holding LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT licensees. This event offers 2 CEs for PA Licensed Psychologists.

This is the second event of a two-part series that can be taken separately; although the presenters would recommend that Part One NOT be taken on its own, Part Two can support providers who already have an understandindg of somatic healing.

This event leverages the reflections from Part One to offer participants examples, strategies, and considerations for offering Trauma Informed somatic interventions with their clients. Via modeling and use of experiential techniques, attendees will be supported in learning the breadth and richness of this style of clinical work.   

By the end of this training participants will be able to: 

1. Identify at least 3 ways in which somatic work can support activated clients regain a level of regulation.     

2. Integrate at least 4 somatic techniques into their clinical work with clients experiencing trauma reactivity or activation.

3. Explain strategies and techniques for safeguarding their clients when engaging them in somatic interventions.
